(Council 26)

On May 19, 2011 AFSCME Council 26 sent letters to Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia Senators which stated: (w)e are specifically concerned about the House Budget Resolutions plan for freezing federal employee pay for five years, cutting the workforce by ten percent and requiring federal employees to significantly increase their contributions to the Civil Service Retirement and Disability Trust fund. This is unreasonable, unfair and would result in a reduction of net wages and benefits while harming important government programs. To read the letter, click here.
